Next summer, it's hard to deny that MAN OF STEEL is going to be one of the most anticipated movies of 2013. Lead actor Henry Cavill who plays Clark Kent/Superman has recently spoken about the upcoming superhero reboot, in which he reveals this will be a more modern take on the DC Comics character.
What I can say is that it's a modernization of the character and a very realistic view of one, obviously, very fantastic individual. It's an unreal situation, but it's approached from a very practical viewpoint. We wanted to make the character easier to identify with.
As for stepping in the shoes of portraying such iconic character like Superman, Cavill understands all the pressure he's about to face upon accepting the role. Here's what he has to add below.
It's important to do the role justice. There are a lot of people relying on me to do this well. I gladly accept that responsibility, and it's a great one to have because it's a wonderful opportunity. I don't let the pressures get to me because that's going to hinder my performance and, therefore, let people down. So I choose to ignore the pressure side of it and focus on doing justice to Superman.
Well, it should be no surprise that MAN OF STEEL is going to be modern and more especially "realistic", given the fact it was produced by Christopher Nolan.
Will MAN OF STEEL lives up to its expectation? Keep your fingers crossed when the movie hits theaters on June 14, 2013.
